Ananth Technologies secures licence to offer broadband satellite services from 2028

Ananth Technologies, a private Indian aerospace firm with an existing track record of collaborating with government agencies in the space sector, has obtained approval from the Indian space regulator IN-SPACe to provide broadband satellite services starting from 2028.

The company aims to deploy a four-tonne geostationary (GEO) communications satellite capable of delivering a capacity of 100Gbps to users across India.

The company plans to invest approximately INR30 billion into this venture, with the possibility of additional investments and satellite deployments driven by market demand. This marks a significant milestone for Ananth Technologies, which was established in 1992 with the objective of supporting India’s economic growth through aerospace advancements.
