5G-A will enhance user experiences and enable innovative consumer and enterprise applications for DNB that were not possible with standard 5G, in part by leveraging the vendor’s AI intent-based operations that can influence network behaviour and ensure a better customer experience.
The 5G-A upgrade also includes RedCap, which enables 5G networks to better support more enterprise IoT use cases by extending battery life, reducing complexity for devices like wearables and industry sensors, and improving operational efficiencies.
“With 5G Advanced, DNB aims to help accelerate the digitalization journey of enterprises working with our access seekers in sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, oil and gas, agriculture, and tourism with advanced tools to innovate and deliver superior products and services,” said DNB CEO Azman Ismail.
DNB will also make use of intent-based solutions such as Ericsson's Energy Efficiency and Management subscription that includes an automated energy saver to maximize energy performance.
