Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL), two government-run MNOs, have embarked once more on merger talks to streamline operations..png?lu=505)
MTNL focuses on the Delhi and Mumbai metro circles while BSNL works PAN-India.
According to local media, BSNL is planning to bring in IIM-Ahmedabad and Deloitte to plan for improving its financial situation in the future and also form a merger plan with MTNL.
MTNL recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BSNL to achieve a synergy of operations. Meanwhile, BSNL could soon come to a much better position financially once it launches 4G commercially.
