Link Net has partnered with Cisco and Qwilt to upgrade its capacity in a move to enhance streaming services in over 3 million homes.
The upgrade is through the use of a Content Delivery Network (CDN) solution and enables content publishers across the region to deliver their content in high quality.
Link Net, which operates the First Media brand in Indonesia, will embed Qwilt’s Open Caching-based architecture into its network edge, supporting increased data volumes across its network.
The deployment will initially reach 27 cities across Indonesia and enables collaboration with service providers to create the world’s largest federated CDN to enhance the capabilities of content publishers and consumers.
