MEASAT signs collaboration deal with Boustead Technology to support Malaysian Armed Forces

At the Term Sheet signing between MEASAT and Boustead Technology Sdn Bhd (Boustech) during LIMA 2025

MEASAT Global Berhad, has signed a Term Sheet with Boustead Technology Sdn Bhd to formalize a partnership supporting the satellite communications needs of the Malaysian Armed Forces.

The signing took place in Langkawi during the 17th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2025), with representatives from both companies and government officials present, including Malaysia’s Minister of Defence YB Dato' Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.

Boustech, a wholly owned subsidiary of Boustead Holdings Berhad, plays a strategic role in advancing defense and digital infrastructure solutions aligned with national priorities. The collaboration aims to explore next-generation capabilities, including the deployment of a new satellite launched and operated by MEASAT, to serve the Future Force of the Malaysian Armed Forces.

Ganendra Selvaraj, MEASAT’s Chief Commercial Officer, expressed pride in supporting Malaysia’s sovereignty and security needs through advanced satellite solutions, emphasizing MEASAT’s three decades of expertise in delivering secure, end-to-end satellite services.

Sharifuddin Md Zaini Al-Manaf, CEO of Boustech, highlighted that this partnership marks a significant step toward enhancing secure, mission-critical communications for Malaysia’s defense. He underscored MEASAT’s proven capabilities and expressed confidence that the collaboration will open new avenues for innovative satellite-based solutions tailored to national security and digital resilience.

This alliance reflects a shared commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s defense infrastructure and leveraging cutting-edge satellite technology to meet evolving security and digital challenges.
