Recent reports indicate that the collaboration was solidified through contracts signed during a visit from a team representing Starlink. Although the specific local firms involved have not been disclosed, the collaboration is set to focus on critical components such as space allocation, construction support, and ongoing infrastructure maintenance.
Starlink is exploring various options for site locations, including land owned by Bangladeshi firms and spaces within high-tech parks managed by the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA), a government agency responsible for promoting technology-focused business parks throughout the nation.
Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, a special assistant to the country’s chief advisor on telecommunications and IT, confirmed that discussions regarding suitable locations and implementation strategies are ongoing.
